Synopsis
We rarely know our grandparents well, especially those who have lived through the trauma of war. It is an experience from which they naturally want  to shield their children and grandchildren.

The 100 year old manuscript of “Dusty Doings”, was found amongst family magazines that were destined for a bonfire. Further research confirmed that it was the work of Dr Archibald [Archie] Simpson Anderson. Within five years of his return from active service in WW1, he committed this novel to paper based on his personal experiences and reflections.

In his diary-novel we discover a man dedicated to his work, navigating the vagaries of the English military and the snobbery of the British medical establishment. Archie [Brassard] goes with the flow of his work, taking opportunities for medical, social and cultural enrichment when they are available.

We hope that you too enjoy meeting the man who was ‘Dr Archie’ to so many.
“Our forebears gave us real examples to live up to.”
Acky (another Archie, one of Brassard’s grandsons)
